- Wastewater Lagoon Project – Funded through ISC and contracted to Martushev Contracting, the Nation begun construction of the new wastewater treatment lagoon in February and is expecting completion within 2 years – approximate value – $8.5 million
- In partnership with Telus, RMWB will be installing fibre optic lines throughout the regional municipality. The design work has started on the Nation February 1 and should be completed by fall 2023, delivering high speed internet to the community – approximate value - $21 million - design work is nearly complete. start construction this summer.
- Egress road and Nokohoo drive paving project – RMWB is fully funding the paving from the hamlet to the end of the Y and building an egress road and bridge across the Christina river. Design and geotechnical study complete, expected start of construction this summer and completion by 2025 – approximate value – $25 million. Detailed drawings are available for viewing at the band office
PLANNED
- Water source feasibility study – The RMWB will be conducting a feasibility study to assess the availability and quality of other water sources. Beginning this spring, the study should be complete by the end of summer to allow for decisions and planning on the new water source and treatment plant. Approximate value - $350 000
- Subdivision project – In the southeast section of the Nation plans for new home lots and subdivision featuring sanitary sewer and municipal water service. Advance design nearly complete, construction to begin this summer – approximate value - $16 million
- Infrastructure master plan – This summer, Community meetings will be scheduled wit elders, youth, community at large and leadership to begin planning the Nation’s next phases of growth. Main interests so far identified are; New school, recreation/lifestyle centre, daycare and elder’s facilities.
